About me
Ok, this is MORE about me...some personal insight to go along with all those professional details.
You might read through this site's detailing of my expertise and experiences and still wonder a bit: Who is he? What's his why? What's he like as a collaborator or teammate?

At the end of the day, my self concept is that I'm just a guy who gets stuff done. Who is aspirational and also very pragmatic. Who learns and pushes out of his comfort zone because it helps the team get to the finish line. Who loves to find an opportunity to laugh and smile with others.

My path in libraries has helped me evolve while also serving others. I consider this duality an incredible gift. My advertising work has been closely tied to public health and harm reduction, aligning with my sense of service to others.

As my friends and family say to me, "You love to make sure everyone is taken care of."

While care taking comes in many forms, I'm most often cooking for all since I come from a food-is-love kind of family. I will show up to your house for an overnight visit with a frozen kugel or brisket, or maybe some gulasch and dumplings, just in case we need food. To me, every meal that isn't solo is an opportunity to create community.
As a Jew I was culturally gifted an opportunity to belong to a community. As an LGBTQI individual, I take personally my responsibility to forge mispacha, a chosen-family, among those I meet who seek connection.

And for a fun fact:
I've realized more recently I'm also the guy neighbors call for a handyman assist, especially when it involves my woodworking skills. I never anticipated being someone who fell in love with wood as a creative medium but there it is, joy in a personal surprise.

In all spheres of life my ever-present fur-ball support and love-on-legs, Nico, is at my side.
